Teaching the Hearing Impaired Children and Babies is not an easy task. With this need in mind the Govt. has arranged to develop the required manpower through two important diploma courses.
 

Certification Teaching courses at Cochlea Pune for Hearing and Speech

DECSE- Diploma in Early Childhood  Special Education

  • Duration: 1 year
  • Under the aegis for RCI-Rehabilitation Council of India, Ministry of social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India
  • Eligibility: Minimum 12th / HSC pass from any stream -Arts, Science or Commerce.
  • Forms : Available at Cochlea for Rs.100 from 1st May
  • Course commencement - in first week of July
  • Course subjects - Curriculum, Language, Psychology, Audiology and Education
  • Scope of job opportunity- ZP (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan), preschools for hearing Impaired children, private tuitions and NGO’s.

DHLS-Diploma in Hearing, Language and Speech

  • Duration: 1 year
  • Under the aegis for RCI-Rehabilitation Council of India, Ministry of social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India
  • Eligibility : Higher Secondary (12th) pass -Science
  • Form : Available at Cochlea for Rs.100 from 1st May
  • Course commencement - in first week of July
  • Course subjects -, Education, Psychology, Audiology, Speech,CBR (Community Based Rehabilitation),Anatomy (Basic Medical Sciences related to speech and hearing)
  • Scope of job opportunity- ZP (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan), Assistant to ENT consultants/surgeons, private tuitions and NGO’s

Parent Training Program

  • Duration: July to February every Saturday/ Sunday
  • Qualification to Apply: Preferably Parent of a deaf child.
  • Course subjects -5- Curriculum, language, psychology, audiology and Education
