OBITUARY

With a heavy heart, we wish to inform you that one of our greatest supporters Mrs. Shubhatai Joshi, has left us and gone to her heavenly abode. A crusader for various challenges faced by The Hearing-Impaired persons and their parents. Shubhadatai has left no stone unturned, while fighting for the welfare of the Hearing-Impaired community. Mission of Shubhatai was to let every hearing-impaired child speak and become self-reliant. The Loss of Shubhatai Joshi has left a huge vacuum, and a great loss to the Hearing-Impaired community. We have lost a great soul. May her soul rest in peace.

Are You Aware....

4 out of every 1000 babies are born DEAF. But they are not born MUTE. 650 children out of 1000 deaf children do not get any facility of EDUCATION.
As per statistics, 800 children are born deaf every year in Pune district. That means 4000 children in the group of 0 to 6 yrs are deprived of PRESCHOOL TRAINING.
However, EARLY DETECTION and INTERVENTION can help these children SPEAK and lead a NORMAL LIFE.
