Parent training programme

Parent Training Program :  The Trust started this new initiative of training mothers of HI children in December 2008 and concluded in the month of April 2009.
 

Teaching a hearing impaired child is not an easy task. The mother is the first mentor / teacher of a child and a child always learns first from its mother.

 

Again in 2013 parents from talukas in Pune district(their children were detected through camps in the rural areas) were motivated to do the parent training program. The idea was to train them, so that they can locally start a training centre in their own village.
 

They were paid the travelling expences and a prize of Rs 500, who attended the training regularly every month.

The success of PTP is that now parents are ready to pay fees and are eager to take the training.
