Pirangut Project

With its experience of rehabilitating the congenital deaf children for the past 20+ years and considering it as its social responsibility, Cochlea Pune for Hearing and Speech has decided to embark on a unique project to rehabilitate maximum congenital deaf children by opening a boarding school for congenital deaf children in which the children would be staying along with their mothers. This school would be one of its kind in the country.

The school is coming up on an area of 1300 sq. mtrs. amidst nature and in the cool and sublime environs of Urawade village in Mulshi taluka of Pune District. Boarding facility for 25 students will be available and an equal number of day scholars will also be able to take benefit of the facility. The classes will be child centric and the teaching staff would be experienced and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) qualified. Our endeavour would be to give best of education and comprehensive development of the child. The Mothers of these children would be trained to conduct speech and language training at our centre; this would empower them to financially help the family, as well as, help hearing impaired children in and around their residential area.
